In 2006 Taylor received the Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Achievement in Directing for “The Fabulous Pink Flamingos: Live from the Lu’au Lounge.”

Playwrighting: A Child of Eden, Come by Here, Far Away Places, Fool of Hearts (book, music and lyrics in collaboration with Virginia Rudolph), Hollywood Hallelujah, Hooray for Hollywood, A Metaphysical Fairy, Sons of Adam - Daughters of Eve, Waiting on Blue.

Acting: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck), Picasso at The Lapin Agile (Freddy), Tainted Justice (Jim Maddin), S. S. Intrigue II: Hawaiian Holiday (Chandler Kirkwood), The Roar of the Greasepaint, the Smell of the Crowd (Cocky), Oklahoma! (Ali Hakem), P. S. Your Cat Is Dead (Jimmy/Vito), Fool of Hearts (Fool). He has also served his mandatory time singing and dancing his way through productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Godspell, Guys and Dolls, and Hello Dolly.

Taylor’s theatre-adjacent career includes work as: “Fuzzy” the Singing Cop for Disneyland, a walking puppet theatre for Knott’s Berry Farm, a day care worker, a Sunday School teacher, a Bible salesman, a clown, and a graphic designer.

2005 saw the release of Taylor’s EP Familiar Stranger: Songs by Phyl Fraser, and in 2007 he co-produced the award winning Fabulous Pink Flamingos’ Songs from the Lu’au Lounge.

In seventh grade he was voted “Most Humorous” by Mrs. Argebright’s Speech and Drama Class. He has been trying to live up to the honour ever since.
